Are you a social enterprise operating in Scotland? Here’s an important opportunity to contribute to research that will directly impact the future support available to our sector.
Edinburgh Napier University, with partial funding from Social Enterprise Scotland, is conducting a crucial study exploring the Barriers Faced by Social Enterprises in Scotland. This research aims to understand how social enterprises like yours engage with key standards: the People and Planet First verification standards and the Voluntary Code of Practice for Social Enterprises in Scotland.
Why is your participation important?
This study seeks to uncover:
- The factors that make it easier or more challenging for social enterprises to meet these standards.
- Why some enterprises may find one standard easier to follow than the other.
- The differences in awareness, interpretation, and adoption of these two important frameworks.
- The broader challenges your social enterprise faces in aligning with aspects of the Voluntary Code.
- The wider barriers to growth and long-term sustainability within the Scottish social enterprise landscape.
Your valuable insights will directly contribute to shaping future support strategies for social enterprises across Scotland. By sharing your experiences, you can help ensure that the support available is relevant, effective, and truly addresses the needs of our diverse sector.
