The Community Woods and Garden, Polbeth & West Calder, is hosting a Spring Open Day, offering a family-friendly outing to welcome the warmer season.
The event will take place on Friday, May 10th, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Off A71, Limefield Road, EH55 8BQ.
Attendees can expect a variety of activities and offerings. The marquee will be transformed into a café, where fresh scones, home baking, teas, and coffees will be available. A selection of plants will be on sale, providing an opportunity to enhance gardens with Spring blooms. The plant list will be shared on the organization’s social media channels the week leading up to the event.
Wooden products, crafted in the Community Workshop, will be available for purchase. Visitors can also witness a wood turning demonstration. Free craft activities will be provided for children and adults.
The event offers a chance to meet the team of volunteers and learn about the latest developments at the Community Woods and Garden. Furthermore, attendees will have the opportunity to share their views on the future of the community woodland.
The Community Woods and Garden welcomes everyone, including well-behaved dogs, to join in the day’s festivities.
